lyrics

The trouble started at Roma Palais; the trouble was a poster on the wall. I made and inappropriate gesture and now you say you don’t want me around. And I scream as you melt in the crown, can I see you at the end of the day? Let’s get together at the end of the day, but I guess you never heard me. I still love you on Mondays; the weekend did no good at all. And I spend the week drawing pictures, of all the things I’ve forgotten to be. I’m only drawing pictures of me, like Henry Miller said in one of his books; like Dylan Thomas said in one of his plays – I will never be a no-good, low down, Spanish Architect. Come on and spend a night with me; we’re taking chances like you wouldn’t believe. The girls are dressed up and they’re ready to go; the boys are dressed up and they’re ready to go. But the night it goes to slow, until I twist myself through the floor, with endless conversations and more - I will never be. Let’s drink to Roma Palais and then burn the whole place down; we’re burning all our bridges down. Do you still want me around now?
